Hey, everyone! We are gearing up for a busy month after a fairly quiet August, but I cannot wait for it to start! We hope for and expect big things!
It has been a few weeks since we raced, and it is nice to have one last break before the run for the Championship in September, but I really wish we had more races scheduled, especially since we have been running so strong. Even though I am not racing a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East car this month, I’m still trying to learn and improve as a driver.

Grimes, IA (June 22, 2011) -
“Being that Langley is the home track to me, and by far one of the tuffest places to get around, it’s been a VERY long time since I’ve seen someone come through the field like you did tonight. National Champions and other developmental drivers have come here and tested for days to only find themselves in the back...you flat drove your ass off buddy, without the tire issue early on or 5 more laps you were p1 no questions asked. You have earned a fan from your performance tonight, good luck the rest of the season and keep on diggin! Look forward to being at the track with you soon!”

Hi, everyone! Things have been pretty hectic here, so sorry it has been a while since I have written. As you probably know, we won the first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race of the season. We sat on the pole and led every lap. That was awesome! I felt a lot of pressure heading into the season, especially because of what Ryan Truex had accomplished in the car so to perform up to those standards was such an accomplishment! I know it was only one race, but I think we can carry the momentum as we head into one of my best tracks, South Boston.

Hi, everyone! Things have been progressing very well for me in NC. I am all settled after the move and am enjoying living on my own. I have set a nice routine by working in the mornings at the Michael Waltrip Racing shop and then working with the team’s trainer in the afternoon to help increase my endurance. I have really been getting to know and bond with a lot of the MWR crewmembers, and I feel like we have great chemistry heading into the start of the season.

Hi, everyone! How’s it going? I just got home to Iowa this morning and am getting back into the routine here. Last time I wrote, my father and I were about to drive to North Carolina. What an eventful trip that was! With the roads still being bad from all the snow, the long drive was a headache. We finally got there after driving non-stop. We did not get just one, but two flat tires on the way. I couldn’t believe it. Luck was not on our side with that trip, but we finally made it.
Can you believe that the racing season is almost here? I just finished packing some furniture, and the plan is to head out of Iowa tomorrow with my father to bring my car and some things to North Carolina. All of the recent trips back and forth have made me realize that it is much more practical to have my car in North Carolina to travel back and forth than trying to rely on either my friends or my crew chief, even though I have been staying with him. It’s about an 18 hour drive from Iowa to NC, and I’ve made it before, so it shouldn’t be that bad. We just hope Mother Nature cooperates.
Hey fans, I hope everyone is having a great New Year! I just got home from North Carolina on Sunday (Jan. 9). What a memorable trip that was! It started by getting to spend some time with my new crew chief, Mike Greci. He let me stay with him for the week, and it was great to get to bond with him and learn more about him. Mike is so much fun, and he is also really smart when it comes to the cars, so he is a huge asset to the team. I also got to spend some more time meeting the guys at MWR and seeing the shop.

Greetings, fans! I hope everyone had a great Christmas. It has been too long since I last wrote, but things have been pretty hectic here over the holidays, and I haven’t had much down time.

Hey, everyone - how’s it been going? Things have been pretty busy behind the scenes while we try to nail down the plans for 2011. Hopefully around the Holidays, we can have something announced.

Hey guys, I hope all is well. It has been a while since I last wrote one of these, but it’s been pretty quiet here. I’ve been taking the last few weeks off to relax and have some fun with friends back here in Iowa, because I didn’t have a lot of time this summer. It has been nice to have no pressure and do some normal 18 year-old things!
Fall is already back in Iowa, and it’s actually been getting pretty cold here at night. Since the end of racing season, my schedule has been quieter, so I’ve decided to take up a new hobby – hunting. I’ve been goose hunting a lot at my neighbor’s property and have had some luck, but am still trying to get the hang of everything. I am also toying around with the idea of getting a bow and trying my luck at deer hunting on my family’s property. We will have to wait and see on that one.

Hey everyone, how’s it going? Well, I had a great weekend and week. JGR called to ask me to go to the shop on Monday to take team photos with the entire group of JGR employees and drivers. Obviously, there was no way I could turn it down, so I decided last Friday to go to Kansas Speedway with my neighbor (it’s only about 3 hours from my house) and then fly back to Huntersville, NC, on the JGR plane after the Nationwide race. I was able to hang out on pit road with the #18 crew during the race and try to learn some things from them. It was really cool flying back on the private plane, too. It was my second time doing it, and it’s always a lot of fun.

Hey everyone, what’s going on? Sorry I haven’t written in a little while. The week between Loudon and Dover is so crazy. We got home Sunday from Loudon and then turned around Wednesday before the crack of dawn to head to Dover, but I could definitely get used to the lifestyle, so don’t get me wrong.

Grimes, Iowa (September 11, 2010) – After nearly a six week hiatus, Brett Moffitt, Joe Gibbs Racing development driver, returned to his racing roots and competed in the 2010 IMCA Super Nationals in his family-owned dirt car. Moffitt, who had previously continued to compete in select dirt car events after turning to the asphalt circuits, was unable to get much seat time in his dirt car this summer, due to commitments in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I’m just hanging out this week, waiting to head to Loudon for the next NASCAR race. The IMCA Super Nationals last week in Boone, IA, went really well. I still enjoy racing dirt cars whenever I can.

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I hope you all had a good weekend. We raced in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at Gresham Motorsports Park on Saturday night in Georgia. We had a very good top-five run going, until we got involved in another racer’s wreck. It was really disappointing, because we’ve lost a few great runs this year due to circumstances we could not control[South Boston, Phoenix, and Iowa], but the bright side is that we have been strong at all tracks. I am very excited that the final two races are taking place at Cup tracks and with such a large focus on the series.

Grimes, Iowa (August 30, 2010) – Brett Moffitt, Joe Gibbs Racing development driver, continued his hot streak of performances at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia. Although he did not earn the finish he deserved, he had yet another strong performance to go along with his impressive season.
